I tutor individual adult students in our county's literacy program, and I want you to know what a hit your books are with my students. They read them with enthusiasm and can't wait for the next chapter. They relate to the characters completely, and they thoroughly enjoy the humor and the richness of the character development. We laugh out loud together frequently, and this relaxes them and helps them feel less inhibited about reading aloud to me. I expected that my male students would enjoy the series, but I have been amazed that my female student is the biggest fan of all. She will stay longer than required just to read another chapter or two aloud, and she is the most shy of all my students. Thanks for making these available. | When I took my first look at the Junkyard Dan series I could hardly wait to share them with teachers at my school. I had spent years as a teacher trying to find reading material for my very low reading level high school students. These students were embarrassed to read the books that were at their reading level but could not read well enough to read even low level high school material. Junkyard Dan is perfect for these kids. I'm the librarian now and I bought several sets of Junkyard Dan books and workbooks to share. We are using them in ISS and in reading classes (regular and ESE). Teachers tell me their students love them and that no one minds being seen reading these books. You can expect us to order every new book Nox Press offers. | During open house in August the majority of the parents told me flat out, ”My child hates to read.” Virtually all of these students are now avidly reading your books.
