I've been tutoring a 26 year old "kid," an inmate in a correctional facility, to improve his marginal reading skills. He loves the first in the Junkyard Dan series. As he tells me often, "this will be the first book I've ever read." I'm writing to tell Elise Leonard what a great idea she had to do the series, and how "on target" she is in the approach, humor, content and "voice" of the narrator. Beautifully done.
